JOHN GARDNER CV
John Gardner was born in New York. He was an instructor in the Sculptors’ Workshop, New York and ran the Gardner/Bailey Art Foundry.
Gardner lectured in Sculpture at the Prahran College of Advanced Education, Melbourne, and was a visiting artist at the Sydney University summer Art Workshop; Designed and built bronze sculpture foundries at the National Art School and the Alexander Mackie College of Advanced Education in Sydney. John also owned and operated the Bronze Sculpture Workshop/Gallery at Bondi Beach.
The strength of Gardners’ work is conveyed by the natural materials such as bronze, wood, glass and stone. As an artist, he is intent on exploring the relationships between mind and matter and the iconography of different cultures.
Johns’ works are enjoyed in both corporate and private collections in Australia, Germany and the U.S.A.
