Academic Qualifications:

1980     Completed Matric in South Africa (equivalent to HSC)

1993     Completed Montessori Preschool Teacher Training in South Africa

2007     Completed Ceramic Certificate lV TAFE, NSW, Australia

Work and Pottery Experience:

1981 - 1987
I joined Creative Colour Photographic Laboratory, the leading photographic laboratory in Cape Town.
I was trained in the photocomposition and transparency-duplicating department, and from early 1984
I ran the transparency division dealing directly with clients.

1987 - 1990

I began pottery in London in 1997 under the tutelage of Helena Giras, a well known Czechoslovakian potter with a Cubist style using slab technique.

1999 - present:

 In early 2000 I began pottery with Barbara-Allen at the Workshop Art Centre in Willoughby.  I joined 'Club Le Pot' - a group of experienced and professional potters.

Since October 2007 I have worked as Barbara's part time Technical Assistant and Studio Manager in the ceramic studio at the Workshop Art Centre.
In 2006 I joined the Brookvale TAFE Ceramic department in order to develop a solid grounding in ceramic technique and practice.

2011 body of work: 

My works are pure in form and have sensual shapes inspired by the sea.  From years of technical research using various aggregates and ash glazes I have developed an entirely unique surface.  The shapes and surfaces invite the viewer to physically experience my forms.
