Vrej Matossian, Sculptor.  Biography

Ever since I can remember, I have always been interested in creating artistic features with a large variety of media.  By the age of 10, I had created my first piece of art work.  A little man on skis made out of metal.  This encouraged me to do more.  I became very handy with tools and materials.

After finishing high school, I went to further my education in the trade whilst at the same time working with my brother in his shop where I gained a lot of experience with tools and machines.
Beginning my career as a fitter and turner, I developed a high interest in working with metal.  Ideas started flowing through my head of different things that I could create.  I then obtained my diploma in engineering, metal fabrication and welding.

My main interests have been focused on sculptures made out of all different types of metals like mild steel, stainless steel, brass and copper.  My passion for my art is expressed in these sculptures.

When working on my sculptures, the details are very important to me and I am grateful that private collectors have appreciated my workmanship that they keep them in their homes.
